Acceptable Use Policy

Snapport is a tool for formatting your own portrait — or that of someone who has asked you to — into ID-, passport- and visa-sized photos. It deliberately keeps the real person’s face and identity unchanged. This Acceptable Use Policy sets out how Snapport may and may not be used. It forms part of our Terms of Service, and breaking it can result in refusal of service, cancellation of credits, and reporting to the relevant authorities.
The one rule that matters most: Snapport formats photos to published size specifications — it does not, and must not be used to, falsify who someone is. You are responsible for the lawful, truthful use of every photo you create, and for meeting the official requirements of your document.
You must not use Snapport to
- Upload anyone’s photo without their consent, or upload a photo of a minor without the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
- Create, assist in creating, or attempt to create any fraudulent, forged, counterfeit or altered identity, travel or official document, or any document intended to deceive.
- Impersonate another person, or misrepresent your identity, age or status to any government, border, financial, employer or other authority or system.
- Submit a photo that has been manipulated to defeat identity verification, evade recognition, or otherwise misrepresent the real appearance of the person pictured. (Snapport intentionally never alters a person’s face; do not attempt to subvert this.)
- Use someone else’s likeness for catfishing, fake profiles, harassment, defamation or any deceptive purpose.
- Process images that are unlawful, that depict explicit, abusive or exploitative content, or that infringe another party’s rights.
- Abuse, automate, scrape, overload or attempt to circumvent the service, its rate limits, its credit system or its security.
What Snapport does — and your responsibility
Snapport reformats a real portrait: it replaces the background with a regulation colour, applies even studio lighting and squares up the framing, then helps you crop to a published size with on-screen guides. It never beautifies, slims, ages or swaps a face, because the result must remain unmistakably the same real person.
Snapport is not a government service and does not certify or guarantee that any photo will be accepted. It is your responsibility to:
- confirm the photo is of yourself, or of a consenting person;
- use the result truthfully and only for lawful purposes; and
- verify and meet the current, official requirements of the specific document you are applying for.
Enforcement
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion and without notice, to refuse or discontinue service, cancel or void credits, block access, and preserve and report information about unlawful activity to law enforcement or other authorities. We may apply rate limits and abuse controls to protect the service and its users. Nothing in this policy limits any remedy available to us under the Terms of Service or applicable law.
