Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Snapport (“Snapport”, “we”, “us”), a browser-based photo-formatting tool. By uploading a photo, buying credits or otherwise using Snapport, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. What Snapport is — and is not
Snapport is a self-service tool that reformats a portrait you provide into ID-, passport- or visa-sized photos. It replaces the background with a uniform regulation colour, applies even studio lighting, squares up the pose and lets you calibrate the crop to a specific country size with on-screen crown and chin guides. It keeps your real face and identity unchanged — it never beautifies, slims, ages, swaps or otherwise alters the person.
- Snapport is not a government service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting on behalf of any passport agency, embassy, consulate, visa centre, immigration office or other issuing authority.
- Snapport formats and sizes photographs to commonly-published specifications. It does not certify, validate or guarantee that any photo will be accepted by any authority, photographer, kiosk or system.
- The issuing authority’s current rules always govern. You are responsible for checking the official, up-to-date requirements for your specific document and for confirming that your photo meets them. Specs and presets in Snapport are provided for convenience and may change without notice.
2. Eligibility & your photo
- You confirm the photo you upload is of yourself, or of a person who has given you their consent (and, for a minor, the consent of a parent or legal guardian).
- You agree not to use Snapport to misrepresent identity, or to create any fraudulent, forged or altered identity or travel document. See our Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
- You retain all rights to your own photo. You grant Snapport only the limited, temporary right to process your upload to produce your requested result (see our Privacy Policy).
3. Accounts
- You are responsible for keeping your password and account secure, and for all activity that happens under your account.
- You agree to provide accurate information, and to keep one account per person.
- Credits are tied to your account. They are non-transferable and have no cash value.
- We may suspend or close any account used for fraud, abuse, or violations of our Acceptable Use Policy.
4. Credits & the free trial
- Credits are a one-time digital product. They are not a subscription, are non-transferable, and never expire.
- Each finished photo costs the per-photo credit amount shown in the booth (currently 4 credits). Re-cropping a photo you already generated, changing the background colour of an existing result and laying out print sheets are free.
- Every visitor gets one free, watermarked trial photo with no signup, so you can judge quality on your own portrait before buying.
- Credits are delivered as a single-use redemption code after a successful PayPal payment.
5. Licence to use your results
Subject to these Terms and your active plan, you may use the photos Snapport produces for your own identity documents and for personal use. The Bureau pack additionally includes a commercial / reseller licence for high-volume and client work. You may not resell, redistribute or sublicense Snapport’s outputs beyond the scope of the plan you purchased.
6. AI results are provided “as is”
Snapport uses an AI image processor. AI outputs vary with the source photo and other factors, and may not always meet your expectations or an authority’s requirements. The service, and all results, are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or acceptance by any authority. You should always preview a result and verify it against the official requirements before relying on it.
7. Acceptable use
Your use of Snapport is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy. We may refuse service, cancel credits, or suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe these Terms or that policy have been breached, or to protect the service from abuse.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Snapport and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any rejected application, missed appointment, travel disruption, reprint cost or fee arising from your use of the service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the credits directly involved in that claim.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
